What is Live Rock?
Live rock is rock usually removed from the ocean that has an abundance of life. The rock is created from micro flora and fauna which adhere coral rubble and sand together to create rock. This rock is extremely porous, which allows bacteria to colonize the rock. In our tanks, this bacteria consumes wastes such as ammonia, keeping the waste produced by fish or excess food from poisoning the tank's inhabitants.
