I just set up my tank with a seahorse last week. Today it looks sick. What's wrong?
Your seahorse is suffering from ammonia poisoning - a tank needs to cycle for a minium 4 to 6 weeks before you can add fish. Cycling is the process where beneficial bacteria colonize your tank to eat and get rid of harmful waste by-products like ammonia and nitrite, caused by fish waste and uneaten food. You need to remove your seahorse before the damage is done. Either take it to the fish store and see if they can hold it, or put it in a hospital tank with a heater and filter and change 100% of the water every day.
