But my fish store told me that brine shrimp is a seahorse's natural food!
Brine shrimp haven't been part of any marine animal's diet for millions of years. They evolved a life in salt ponds where a high tolerance to salinity fluctuations, including extremely high salinity, allows them to live with virtually no natural predators. A seahorse and a brine shrimp would never ever meet in the wild.
